People's blogger stated today that long-term peaceful protest is needed.

People's blogger Siarhei Tsikhanouski was sentenced to another 15 days of arrest at the trial in Hrodna, allegedly "for disobeying the police" at the picket on May 29, tut.by reports.

The case was considered by Judge Yury Kazakevich.

Now the people's blogger is in the pre-trial detention center № 1 in Minsk as the defendant in the criminal case on "organizing mass riots."

Siarhei Tsikhanouski stated at the trial that a long-lasting peaceful protest is needed, Belsat reports.

"Where are your slippers, Belarusians?" - he asked.

Head of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's initiative group, Siarhei Tsikhanouski, and nine other people were detained during a picket to collect signatures in Hrodna on May 29.

This was preceded by a provocation, in which police officers, headed by a professional prostitute Alena Kuzmina, were taking part. Siarhei Tsikhanouski's arrest is caused by Lukashenka's panic fear of the national protest leader.

Belarusian human rights activists have recognized Siarhei Tsikhanouski as a political prisoner and demanded his release.
