Lithuanians Were Advised to Stock up on Food in Case of an Accident At BelNPP

The Lithuanian government urged the population to stock up on food in case of a possible accident at the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP). The day before, there was a vapor release at the BelNPP.

This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania, Mindaugas Bayarunas, reports RBC.

So, citizens were advised to stock up on canned food, cereals, vegetable oil, sugar, and water.

“We recommend that the population create a stock of essential products for three days. The functions of the responsible authorities are clearly defined, but it will take some time until they come to the aid of people, so everyone should be ready,” Bayarunas said.
