How many millions will the state take from them?

The Belarusian authorities have recently increased the income tax rate for employees of the HTP and the Great Stone Park from 9% to 13%.

First Deputy Finance Minister Dzmitry Kiyko said that about 60.5 thousand people work in the IT-sector in the country and the average salary is five thousand rubles. This allowed to calculate the effect of higher taxes.

- That's about 170 million rubles more, - the deputy minister said.

It turns out that the budget will get an additional $66 million, or about $1,100 per IT-specialist, the-village.me writes.

As previously reported, the taxes will be raised only for the years 2021-2022. The rates will be increased for cellular operators, pawnshops, as well as shopping malls (for them, the land tax and site rental tax will be changed).

The additional funds that will be obtained from the tax increase will be used to combat COVID-19.
