Those involved in the murder of Raman Bandarenka may face a life-long ban on participation in any hockey events.

The Belarusian Sports Solidarity Fund (BFSS), which protects the rights of Belarusian athletes, initiated a request to bring the chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, member of the NOC Executive Committee Dzmitry Baskau to disciplinary responsibility under the auspices of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the International Olympic Committee. Relevant statements were sent to both organizations on December 1, 2020, and were shared with the Charter97.org website by the fund's press service.

"The BFSS will seek a complete ban on Dzmitry Baskau's representation of the Belarusian Olympic Movement and a lifelong ban on participation in any hockey events," the press release says.

As we reported earlier, a number of audio recordings appeared on the Web, which testifies to Dzmitry Baskau's involvement in the murder of Raman Bandarenka on the Square of Changes. Also, from the leaked conversations, it became known that the chairman of the ice hockey federation of Belarus, together with Lukashenka's press secretary Natallia Eismant, travels around the courtyards and cuts off white-red-white ribbons.
