Committee For Democracy In Belarus Created In Italian Parliament

Several political parties have come forward with the initiative.

The Italian Parliament announced the establishment of the Italian Committee for Democracy in Belarus, Nasha Niva reports.

It was created on the initiative of several political parties of Italy ("Democratic Party", "Radicals", "Plus Europe"), journalistic and trade union organizations, with the participation of the Association of Belarusians in Italy "Supolka".

The Belarusians of Italy held solidarity events in dozens of Italian cities, and raised significant funds for Belarusian political prisoners and independent cultural projects.
