Belarusian Refineries Report For How Many Days Will Last Oil Reserves

  • 3.01.2020, 11:49

The Russian deliveries have been stopped.

Russian company Transneft has not received any orders from Russian oil producers to supply crude oil to refineries of Belarus since January 1. At the same time, the transit of oil through the territory of the republic is carried out in full. This was reported to TASS by Transneft official representative Igor Demin.

The source, close to the Belarusian refineries, has informed the agency that the refineries have created large reserves of raw materials - about 0.5 million tons of oil. "This amount may be enough for about 20 days of work," - he said.

Earlier on Friday, Belnautakhim stated that Russian oil supplies are not carried out. The loading of the refineries has been reduced to the minimum technologically permissible level.

Oil companies of Russia have not yet commented on the supply suspension.

We remind that on December 30 and 31, Vladimir Putin and Aliaksandr Lukashenka held two telephone conversations, during which they discussed Russian oil supplies to Belarus, as well as gas supply and transit issues. On December 21, Lukashenka also discussed these issues with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and head of the Russian Energy Ministry Alexander Novak. On the same day, Lukashenka instructed the management of the petrochemical complex to sign contracts on oil supply and to work out the terms of supply of raw materials from the Baltic ports by rail and the Druzhba pipeline. Earlier Lukashenka stated that in 2020 the country intends to purchase about 20 billion cubic meters of gas and 24-25 million tons of oil from Russia.
