Minsk Residents Explained What To Do With NPP In Astravets

  • 23.09.2019, 12:26

There's an alternative to the time-bomb.

Minsk residents, who come to the pickets of European Belarus to collect signatures, speak about it, the press service of the campaign reports.

- I believe that the NPP is not needed. It is possible to build hydroelectric power plants - we have enough rivers for that. The Astravets NPP will never justify itself. Moreover, Hrodna region was the cleanest. Now it's doubtful, - one of the Minskers, who signed for the European Belarus representative, says.

- The republic does not need a nuclear power plant. We could build wind farms - they would have cost much cheaper, - another resident of the capital says.

We remind that pickets of the European Belarus civil campaign to collect signatures are held daily in the center of Minsk from 12:00 to 19:00. Activists and volunteers collect signatures near the shops of TSUM and GUM, as well as at the entrance to Gorky Park.
