U.S. Deputy Secretary Of State To Pay Official Visit To Belarus

Deputy Secretary of State David Hale will pay an official visit to Belarus. The program of the visit includes meetings with the country's leadership and Foreign Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Makei. This was stated by Anatol Hlaz, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

"On September 17, Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale is expected to visit Belarus," - the Foreign Ministry spokesman Anatol Hlaz said on Monday.

The visit program includes a meeting of the American diplomat with the country's leadership and Foreign Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Makei.

The parties will discuss the issues of the Belarusian-American relations and regional security.

It is worth recalling that on August 29th, John Bolton, the then U.S. President's National Security Advisor, made an official visit to Minsk. This century was the first visit of the U.S. government representatives to Belarus at such a high level. In Minsk, Trump's advisor met with Lukashenka. A week and a half later, John Bolton resigned as U.S. national security advisor.
