The activist of "European Belarus" from Brest, Palina Sharenda Panasiuk, told Charter97.org an interesting story:

"Yesterday there was such a case: we called a taxi after the picket to collect signatures. A car arrived and we loaded the stand in the trunk.

We get in, and the taxi driver asks: "Weren't you the ones standing there with the flags on the avenue, with the real ones?

"Yes, we did! Would you like to sign up? - we answer.

"No, I can't sign, my registration is not a Brest one. But I can give you a free ride! Long Live Belarus! - the taxi driver and turns off the counter".
