A monitor, a washing machine, a microwave oven and a printer have been seized.

The bailiffs arrested the property of Brest blogger Siarhei Piatrukhin. This is reported by the Brest Viasna human rights website.

According to human rights activists, the court bailiffs became interested in Siarhei Piatrukhin's property within the framework of the previous criminal case.

Then Siarhei Piatrukhin was found guilty and fined for "libel" and "insult".

"By my example, the authorities want to show all the people of the country that they can do anything with us. Condemn under any article, punish. It is such a threat - what they are doing to a public person. And what can they do to common people? It's very scary," - Siarhei Piatrukhin comments on the situation.

According to the information of Brest Viasna, the court bailiffs paid attention to four items in Siarhei Piatrukhin's apartment, including the monitor, the washing machine, the microwave oven and the printer.

In total, according to the assessment of human rights activists, they seized property worth 165 Belarusian rubles. On April 18th, the Leninski district court found Siarhei Piatrukhin guilty in a criminal case and sentenced him to a fine of 360 basic units to the state revenue. In addition, the blogger was obliged to reimburse moral damage to the police officers in the amount of Br7.500 and the cost of the lawyer.
