Wounded In Turkey Belarusian Diplomat Transferred To Regular Ward

Belarusian diplomat Aliaksandr Pahanshau, wounded in Turkey, was transferred from the intensive care unit to the regular ward. His condition no longer causes concern. According to Euroradio, this was reported by Ambassador of Belarus to Turkey Andrei Savinykh.

According to him, Pahanshau "is in recovery, now we just have to wait." The ambassador is going to visit the diplomat in the hospital on Monday or Tuesday. It was not possible earlier, only his wife could visit the wounded man.

Counsellor of the Belarusian Embassy Aliaksandr Pahanshau was wounded in Ankara in the evening of July 24. He played with his son in the park when the retired neighbor started shooting at him.

Pahanshau has several bullet wounds. "Four bullets did not hurt vital organs," – Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei said.
