The dictator also called Russia "the big brother".

Among other things, Aliaksandr Lukashenka called Vladimir Putin his best friend and recognized Russia's leading role in the "union state". He said, for example, that Belarus wants to learn advanced technologies and knowledge from Russia, Gazeta.ru writes.

According to him, scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries is intensively developing in different areas:

- Our pragmatic goal is to catch up with our elder brother, to learn what he knows well and to teach the Belarusians these skills.

In his opinion, the construction of the nuclear power plant is an example of successful cooperation:

- It is the nuclear power plant, which is being built under the guidance of Russian specialists, but where the overwhelming majority of Belarusians work.

Thus, according to Lukashenka, the Belarusians are learning "the most advanced technologies, which once belonged to the Soviet Union, and now to Russia".
