Belarus is going to "improve the quality of pre-recruitment training in schools".

The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education are improving the pre-conscription training in schools. This has been reported to journalists by Defense Minister Andrei Raukou today, BelTA informs.

The ministries intend to improve the pre-conscription training in schools. "We are taking practical steps to do this," - Andrei Raukou said. In particular, it is planned to raise the status of the political instructors who teach pre-conscription preparation in schools.

Andrei Raukou said, referring to the opinion of young people who had joined the reserve, that pre-recruitment training should be taught by a man who had served in the army.

According to Education Minister Ihar Karpenka, it is planned to equip pre-conscription training centers.

"The Ministry of Defence is very active in this area and supplies equipment on our request," - he said.

In addition, the regulatory base related to the activities of the military-patriotic classes has been adjusted. An extra-curricular course has been developed for 8-9 grades on introduction to pre-recruitment training. Serious attention is being paid to improving the quality of education in cadet schools and specialized lyceums.
