The police tried to look into the activist's backpack.

Baranavichy police keep an eye on the activist Ryhor Hryk in order to prevent him from selling his legendary poster with the inscription: "No To Impoverishment Of People", as Radio Racyja reports.

Police officers searched Hryk's friend Aliaksandr Shved, who came to the market to buy potatoes.

"I met my friend Ryhor Hryk. We were talked with him when the police officers came up to us and said that we should show what we had in our backpacks. It upset us a little bit, because on what grounds should we show them our bags? They said that we might have some explosive substances, etc. I showed them my backpack without words, and Ryhor showed the police officers the Constitution and said that they violate the Constitution by searching him," - Aliaksandr Shved said.

As it turned out, the police officers, who had been digging through Hryk's backpack, were interested in the poster, not the explosives. They didn't allow them to videotape their actions.
