The protest of the plant workers has been going on for two days.

Since yesterday, the Prammekhanika plant in Hatava has been shut down. The people stopped working, demanding payment of wages. Since March they have been receiving money in installments.

An administrator of the Prammekhanika plant has told Radio Svaboda about the situation at the plant:

"The workers are indeed on strike. They have started the strike, but now other employees, including engineers, are on strike, as the delays in the payment of salaries affect them as well."

According to him, over the past two weeks, about 20% of the plant's 100 employees, including some engineers, have left the plant.

Last week, the company sent a letter to the Minsk City Executive Committee about the problems with the debt to the plant. A lot of enterprises of Belarus owe money to it.
