The leader of the Belarusian National Congress and the Nobel Prize winner have met in Minsk.

BNC leader Mikalai Statkevich has posted a photo with Nobel Prize winner for literature Svetlana Alexievich on Facebook today.

"Recently I had the honor to be a guest of Svetlana Alexievich. It is good that there is such a person in our country," – the politician wrote.

Mikalai Statkevich is one of the leaders of the Belarusian National Congress, chairman of the Narodnaya Hramada party, has spent about 8 years in prison in Belarus for his political views.

Setlana Alexievich is a Belarusian writer, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, author of the books "War's Unwomanly Face," " Boys in Zinc," "Chernobyl Prayer," "Second-Hand Time."
