Alena Talstaya has chained herself to a post at Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk.

In the evening of March 25, all those detained in Minsk on Freedom Day, except for Alena Talstaya, were released from the Tsentralny District Police Department, euroradio.fm reports.

The social activist chained herself to a light pole at Kastrychnitskaya Square. As it became known, she went on a hunger strike. The woman was taken from the Tsentralny District Police Department to the detention center in Akrestsin street.

More than a dozen people were released. These are well-known musicians, opposition politicians, and common citizens (some of them had been brutally detained).

“We were detained absolutely illegally, – the leader of the United Civil Party, Mikalai Kazlou, says. – We were kept in the street for more than three hours. Some strange papers were drawn up that there had been held a preventive conversation. We did not violate anything, we were illegally detained, and they drew up reports about that preventive conversation...”

According to Kazlou, the policeman seized several dozen white-red-white flags before the release.
