Opponents Of Battery Factory Construction Near Brest Create Public Association

The activists will fight against similar enterprises not only in their city.

During feeding of pigeons on Sunday, March 17, Tatsiana Fesikava, a Brest resident, reported that the activists planned to create an environmental public association in Brest to deal with the problem of the battery factory and similar enterprises in Belaaziorsk and Pinsk, the Brest newspaper reports.

As stated by the meeting participants, they do not believe that the plant will be closed even if the excess emissions are confirmed. Nevertheless, the opponents say that they will continue to seek closure of this enterprise, which is dangerous for the environment and the health of people.
