Archbishop addressed this topic while serving in the Red Church.

During the morning service in the Church of Saints Simon and Helena on Sunday, Belarusian Roman Catholic Archbishop of Minsk and Mahiliou Tadevush Kandrusievich again recalled the tragedy that occurred a week ago in Staubtsy, Radio Svaboda reports.

“We must find the causes of this terrible tragedy. Now they are blaming each other, the chairman of the district executive committee, the minister of education, and teachers. But the tragedy is different. It is necessary to find the reason why the person raised his hand to another person,” – Archbishop Tadevush Kandrusievich said addressing the parishioners of the Red Church.

To avoid such tragedies, Kandrusievich urged “to return to Christian values and build life according to Christian spiritual laws.”

The head of the Catholic Church in Belarus for the second time comments on the tragic incident in Staubtsy. The day after the incident, he wrote:

“Three generations of atheism have paid off. As a result of this process, the person has broken away from the roots of the spiritual life – the gospel and teachings of the church.”
