Video Fact: Putin's Portraits Torn To Pieces At Rally For Independence In Minsk

It happened on the steps of the Palace of the Republic.

On December 7, a rally to defend the independence and sovereignty of Belarus took place in Kalinouski Square (Kastrychnitskaya Square) in Minsk. Several thousand people gathered at the square. The organizers of the rally for independence urged Minsk citizens to come to Kastrychnitskaya Square.

Dozens of the rally participants torn to pieces portraits of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the steps of the Palace of the Republic. The people were chanting "Long Live Belarus!"
