U.S. And Belarus Sign Open Skies Agreements For First Time

The agreements allow unarmed reconnaissance aircraft to fly freely.

The United States of America and Belarus have signed bilateral agreements on open skies. This is reported by the State Department website, tut.by informs.

"Open Skies agreements establish rules to facilitate growth of an efficient, market-based international civil aviation system," - the report says. As explained in the State Department, these agreements will help to create additional opportunities for tourists and business.

The State Department also notes that the agreement, signed on December 3, became the first bilateral agreement on the open skies, signed with Belarus.
