BPR Rada Awarded New Medals To Outstanding Belarusians

The award ceremony took place in Canada and Israel.

In Toronto, medals were awarded to two figures of the Belarusian diaspora in Canada: Nadzeya Drobina and Dr. Ruslan Kachatkou. Medals were presented by member of the Presidium of the BPR Rada Ales Kot, the website of the BPR Rada reports.

Nadzeya Drobina is the former chairman of the Association of Belarusians of Canada and the Council of Parish of St. Kirill of Turov in Toronto (BAOC), a member of the Belarusian Canadian folklore group "Yavarovy Liudzi".

Dr. Ruslan Kachatkou is Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the Belarusians of Canada, Chairman of the Council of Parish of St. Kirill of Turov in Toronto (BAOC).

In Israel, the medal went to Professor Zakhar Shybeka, Doctor of Historical Sciences, researcher of the history of Minsk and urban culture of Belarus, as well as the history of the Belarusian national movement.
