About 50 people took part in a memorable march to Loshytski Yar, the place of execution of victims of Stalin's repressions, BelaPAN reports.

The event, traditionally organized by the Conservative-Christian Party - BPF and sanctioned by the city authorities, began on November 10 at 12.30 in front of the Minsk City Palace of Culture (former Kamvolny Palace of Culture).

The participants carried the banner "Dziady" and white-red-white flags, flags of the CCP-BPF and the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party.

The rally in Loshytski Yar continued for about an hour. Deputy Chairman of the CCP-BPF Yury Belenki and other members of the party spoke at the rally. The address of the emigrated CCP-BPF leader Zianon Pazniak was read out.

The CCP-BPF march and rally in Loshytski Yar traditionally takes place a week after a similar event in Kuropaty. Both events are timed to coincide with the day of remembrance of the ancestors known as "Dziady".

Loshytski Yar is a tract near the district of Loshytsa in Minsk, where the NKVD bodies carried out mass shootings in 1937-1941. The exact number of victims is unknown. According to Zianon Pazniak, from 7 to 10 thousand people were buried there.
