Zelensky: I Was in Minsk and Saw What Channels Work There

The President of Ukraine would like several Ukrainian TV channels to be broadcast in Belarus.

Volodymyr Zelensky stated that during the press marathon on October 10, while answering the question of Belsat correspondent Adeli Dubovets.

"I do want people living in Belarus to have unbiased information about the events in Ukraine. I understand what channels are being broadcast in Belarus, as I've been to Minsk many times," the Ukrainian president said.

He noted that he wanted to offer the head of Belarus to launch, first of all, entertainment channels, but, according to him, Lukashenka agreed to broadcast those that cover political topics.

Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the most popular channels should enter the Belarusian market. Those which "produce a high-quality product - news, series, TV programs."

In February 2019, the Ukrainian UA TV started broadcasting in Belarus. So far, this is the only Ukrainian TV channel on the Belarusian territory.

It will be recalled that on October 10, Zelensky held a great press marathon in Kyiv. During the marathon, Zelensky was supposed to answer questions of 300 journalists. The press conference lasted more than 14 hours.
