Ambassador Of Israel Summoned To Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Of Belarus

Official Minsk accused Israel of "discrediting the visa-free regime".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has reported about it, tut.by writes.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on October 7th, the Israeli migration authorities sent home 11 Belarusians from the Tel Aviv airport.

- We were going to conclude an agreement on visa-free travel with Israel to facilitate and simplify mutual contacts of citizens of our countries, - the Foreign Ministry wrote on its page. - However, the Israeli side discredits the whole process with such actions. The practice of denying entry to Belarusian citizens is coming en masse and it is unacceptable for us. We are determined to continue the dialogue and search for solutions to the problem with due regard for each other's interests.

Today, the Foreign Ministry summoned the Ambassador of Israel to Belarus and a note of protest was filed with him. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a certain understanding has been reached.
