The authorities will continue working under the Decree.

Minister of Labor Iryna Kastsevich touched upon the topic of the Decree “On Parasites” and said that the authorities would continue working under the said Decree, tut.by writes.

- We will improve the regulatory legal act itself. This is a work process. We have not marked a decisive end, - the minister told. At the same time, Iryna Kastsevich highlighted the positive aspects of the database of those not employed in the economy.

“What’s good about the base of those not employed in the economy, the unique tool that has appeared in the labor market, is that we saw a new direction of human employment. The database is a mechanism that will help to take a different look at the situation in the labor market,” the minister said.

We remind, Belarusians working abroad automatically fall into the “parasites” category. The lists will be compiled by the special commissions that work with personal information of Belarusians.

It has repeatedly been stated that “parasites” will pay for other services that are subsidized by the state, and Belarusians “unemployed in the economy” have also been frightened with detox and labor facilities.

The previous version of the “parasitic decree” caused mass protests, which experts call the biggest in Belarus since the “perestroika” times.
