This request has been made by the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada).

The Minsk City Executive Committee refused to name one of the new streets of the capital in honor of March 25, the date of the proclamation of the BPR. This request was made by the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada), reports tut.by.

The issue was considered by the commission on the name of avenues, streets, squares and other components of Minsk under the Minsk City Executive Committee. The BSDP (Hramada) appeal was considered in December.

– The commission suggested refraining from naming one of the new streets of Minsk in honor of March 25. It considers undesirable to add numerical names to the road network in Minsk, –the first deputy chairman of the BSDP (Hramada), Aliaksei Sihayeu, says. – It means, the 2nd Sixth Line is fine with them, and March 25 is already a problem.
