Ihar Fisenka has become the Ambassador of Belarus to France.

Belarus is interested in developing contacts with France, especially in economy, Lukashenka said as he appointed Ihar Fisenka as a new Ambassador to France, BelTA reports.

“I would not say that our cooperation with France is at the highest level. But still Pavel Latushka [former Belarusian ambassador to France] did a good job there. Cooperation in certain areas in economy has picked up. Economy is the priority for us,” the dictator said.

He asked whether the new ambassador would be able to contribute to this direction. In response, Minister of Foreign Affairs Uladzimir Makei described Ihar Fisenka as a diplomat who worked abroad. As an example the Minister cited the successful results of his work at the post of the Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
