New Transport Minister Appointed In Belarus

Aliaksei Auramenka has become the head of the ministry.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka appointed Aliaksei Auramenka Minister of Transport and Communications, tut.by writes.

Aliaksei Auramenka is 41 years old. He has two higher educations – he graduated from the Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy and the Academy of Management under Lukashenka.

He started his work as a master of road construction management, then moved to the Committee on Roads under the Ministry of Transport. After that, he served as chief specialist of the road network maintenance department of the Belautador Department, then as chief specialist, deputy head and head of the department of transport, communications and information in the government, after which he was appointed deputy minister of transport and communications of Belarus. For the past three years, he has been First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications.

We remind that on November 24 last year, Aliaksandr Lukashenka appointed the former Minister of Transport and Communications Anatol Sivak as Minsk City Executive Committee chairman.
