Lithuanians Detain Contraband Of Belarusian Cigarettes For EUR 2 Million

The Belarusian driver was arrested.

On August 24, 2018, on the road from Lithuania to Poland (Kaunas-Suwalki), a mobile brigade of the Lithuanian customs officers stopped to check the usual waggon with the Belarusian numbers, hrodna.life writes.

According to the documents, the car traveled to Germany, but instead of the declared wooden pallets it transported huge contraband of cigarettes produced in Belarus.

The car transported cigarettes "Festival", "NZ", "Minsk" with Belarusian excise stamps in the amount of 11 million 650 thousand pieces to the West. Only in Lithuania the goods were valued at more than 1 million 800 thousand euros, in Germany this figure would have increased even more.
