Brest Regional Council Head: In February, People Will Take To Square In Uproar Again

The authorities are afraid of the consequences of Decree No. 1 on "parasites."

The issue of the implementation of Decree No. 1 ("On the promotion of employment") was discussed at a meeting of the Brest Regional Council Presidium.

As Viacherni Brest writes, regional council head Yury Narkevich reminded of the coming February, when, according to Decree No. 1, the state will start the procedure of collecting funds from unemployed able-bodied citizens to cover the costs of their social support.

"People will start to receive these letters, and they will take to the square again. They will kick up a fuss again. We must prevent such a situation," – Yury Narkevich stressed.

As a result, they decided to inform actively the unemployed about vacancies. Except that the earnings do not allow to call these jobs decent.
