The European Parliament closely follows the situation with human rights and fundamental freedoms in Belarus.

It was stated by Bogdan Zdrojewski, the chairman of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Belarus, in a letter to the Charter-97 representative in Brussels.

The head of the delegation noted that the European Parliament pays special attention to the situation with human rights and fundamental freedoms in Belarus and the shortcomings revealed during the elections.

This is evidenced by four resolutions adopted on the situation in Belarus in September 2015, November 2016, April 2017 and April 2018.

"As the head of the delegation, I would like to emphasize that the work of Charter-97, which promotes democratic values in Belarus in difficult conditions, deserves the deepest appreciation," – Bogdan Zdrojewski said.

We remind that the latest resolution of the European Parliament on Belarus calls for the immediate unblock of the Charter97.org website in Belarus.
