Blocking of the website reveals the weakness and cowardliness of the Lukashenka regime.

Leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev said this, commenting upon the blocking of the Charter97.org website in Belarus:

- Belarus continues to follow the footsteps of its closest ally - Russia, and is driving downhill to the totalitarian regime. Such decisions are turning Belarus into some North Korea. The blocking of the website Charter97.org revealed cowardliness and weakness of the Belarusian regime. Strong power have a normal attitude to criticism. Such decisions only undermine the authority of Belarus, however, the Belarusian regime has had no authority whatsoever anyway lately.

I know Charter'97 well and read it regularly, especially the news related to the Crimea. It's very pleasant that the Belarusian resource provides such an honest coverage of the events that are happening in the peninsula, occupied by Russia.

I would like to thank the people in your editor's office for their work. Especially for the coverage of the events of the war between Russia and Ukraine. I hope that Charter'97 will continue its activity and outlive the Lukashenka regime in the end.
