Participant of the protests against the construction of the sulfate bleached pulp plant in Svetlahorsk, civil activist Yury Liashenka said this to the website Charter97.org:

- The website Charter97.org is a vivid and zero-tolerance informational resource. For the residents of Svetlahorsk it remains highly important that the website covers the events related to our native town. The authorities got scared of the truth and the popularity of the independent website, that is why the decision to block it was taken. As Kandrat Krapiva said, nothing hurts like the truth.
