The blocking of the website violated the rights of many Belarusians.

The author of the Declaration of State Sovereignty Republic of Belarus, the historian, the deputy of the opposition of the Belarusian Popular Front in the Supreme Council of the 12th convocation Valiantsin Holubeu said this commenting on the blocking of the site Charter97.org:

– The Charter-97 website was one of the independent sources of information from which I used to begin my day.

With the blocking of the site on the territory of Belarus, I was limited in obtaining information. And I would like to find out another point of view. Obviously, I’m dissatisfied.

I think that one of the reasons for blocking the independent website is that the authorities do not want Charter97.org articles to reach in short order its broad audience.
