Pavel Seviarynets’ Phone Confiscated

The Barauliany police department decided to leave the mobile phone “in gage.”

Co-chairman of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Pavel Seviarynets wrote on Facebook:

– The phone has been confiscated! For 25 years – such a focus the first time, gentlemen.

When leaving the temporary detention facility, I was given a paper to sign that my phone and the watch, seized during the detention yesterday, would stay in the Barauliany police station. They say, you will collect them later.

Some kind of nonsense, I thought, but what could be done, I signed.

It turns out that the Nokia 73 phone and the Luch watch will remain as a pledge of property (!) until the fine is paid!

The court announced that the ruling would be issued to me only after 10 days (so that I wouldn’t have time to appeal) – which means that my mobile phone would be in the Barauliany police for at least a couple of weeks.

Now I’m going to consult with human rights activists. I'm left without a phone now. If someone wants to contact, friends, please write or call my wife.
