Who Fails To Pay The Fee Later Pays It Double, Rumas Says

The transport fee can be paid through the Single Settlement and Information Space (SSIS).

The state fee for the permit to participate in the road traffic will not be included in the fuel price. Prime Minister of Belarus Siarhei Rumas stated that on October 5, tut.by informs.

The government intends to divide the fee and the MOT Test.

"The payment for participation in the road traffic will be available in the SSIS. The minimum permit period is one month. That is, it is fair in relation to people who drive from time to time. The most complex issue is the control over those who failed with the state fee," the prime minister says.

According to Rumas, the MOT Test, photographic evidence, and the SSIS database may assist in revealing non-payers.

"And those who fail with the fee have to pay it double," Rumas added.

Prime Minister of Belarus informs that the new scheme, according to the preliminary data, comes into force since July 1, 2019.

It will be recalled that it’s the fourth year when Belarusians pay fee for the permit to participate in the road traffic.

It is based on weight of a vehicle and does not depend on brand or manufacture year. It is paid before the MOT Test. In this regard many drivers ignore the MOT Test.

The fee amount differs for individuals and organisations. Vehicles of ambulance, emergency service and law enforcement structures are not subject to the fee. Disable people of I and II group pay only half of the fee.
