Belarusian Priest Who Criticized Patriarch Offcially Fired

The church functionaries disliked the photos of the Patriarch’s guards and his car.

Today, the Minsk Eparchial Administration announced the official decision regarding Father Aliaksandr Shramko, who was orally prohibited to serve a mass during the visit of the Moscow Patriarch Kirill to Belarus, Radio Liberty reports.

According to the decree of Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslaul Pavel, Aliaksandr Shramko is officially dismissed from the position of a priest “with no right to serve, wear the priestal cross or deliver a benediction”.

The church functionaries didn’t like that the priest published photos with the Patriarch’s guards and his car.
