According to the documents, the Belarusian Orthodox Church is out of the ROC’s rule or influence.

Russian Orthodox Church deacon Andrei Kuraev stated that, commenting to the rosbalt.ru website the return of Ukraine to the bosom of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

“From the point of view of Constantinople, Minsk is already an excluded territory for Moscow. If the patriarchal charter of 1686 on the transfer of the Kyiv Metropolis to Moscow is canceled, then the cancellation also applies to Belarus. Then, in the 17th century, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Kiev Metropolis included the Belarusian territory,” – Andrei Kuraev says.

We remind that on October 11, the Ecumenical Patriarch returned the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the bosom of Constantinople. The decision of the Constantinople Patriarchate of 1686 to transfer the Ukrainian church to the administration of the Moscow Patriarch was revoked.
