The driver didn't have a vehicle inspection certificate for the car.

A drunk 43-year-old man, a passenger of Mazda Xedox-6, hit a traffic police officer in the face near the village of Mintsi, Valozhyn district.

The investigator of Valozhyn District Department of the Investigative Committee Inessa Bychkevich told kraj.by: the incident happened at about 4:30 pm on December 30 on the 3rd kilometer of the Valozhyn-Vishneva-Klim highway, near the village of Mintsi, where the patrol of traffic police officers was carrying service.

One of the traffic police officers stopped the Mazda, which did not have a certificate of technical inspection. The driver and one of the state traffic inspectors went to the police car. The second police officer stayed outside.

According to Inessa Bychkevich, while the inspector and the Mazda driver were dealing with the lack of technical inspection, a 43-year-old passenger woke up in the Mazda. Using obscene language, he snatched the baton from the hands of the police officer staying in the street, broke it and hit the police officer in the face.

The suspect was detained. At a medical examination, 1.8 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood.
