  • 4.01.2018, 9:15

The image of one of the variants of the national coat of arms is 25 years older than expected.

The Pahonia image intended for the use in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian People's Republic was found in the Belarusian emigration collection by journalists of racyja.com.

It was used on seals, letterheads and various documents of the BPR's Council, the World Association of Belarusian Emigration and many other organizations outside Belarus since the 1950s.

An interesting fact is that the Pahonia image, which became the symbol of the company #BNR100, is 25 years older than expected. It was used not only in the emigration of the 1950s, but also in the 1920s in Western Belarus. The cover of the book "Scenic Works" issued by publishing house "Pahonia" in 1927, Vilnius, proves it.
