Yury Butusov: Restriction Of Access To Charter’97 Is Some Stone Age

Blocking the website Сharter97.org will only increase the authority of the resource.

Ukrainian journalist, editor-in-chief of the site Censor.net Yury Butusov told Charter97.org about this:

- This is an absolutely inadequate measure in the modern era. The blocking of the site Сharter97.org shows what concern Lukashenka has for an alternative opinion. I do not think that this will seriously change the information field in Belarus.

The ban can be a good advertisement for the site. This measure will increase the authority and traffic of the resource. The actions of the Belarusian authorities, which are reminiscent of the Stone Age, will only increase the interest in the information spread by the Charter'97 website,” - Yury Butusov said.

Important to note, on January 24 the Lukashenka regime blocked the independent informational resource Charter97.org. First Deputy Minister of Information Ihar Lutski confirmed the fact of blocking.
