Belarusneft proposes to increase fuel prices by at least 5%.

It was reported to journalists by deputy general director of the Belarusneft production association Siarhei Kamornikau, Tut.by writes.

"The cost of a barrel of oil in the world markets rose to $ 59 per barrel. Today, petrol is cheaper in Belarus than in Russia, which produces much more oil. The market conjuncture pushes to increase petrol prices in Belarus," – Siarhei Kamornikau said.

According to Kamornikau, there are grounds to increase the price by 5%. Now the sales in the domestic market are unprofitable. They are compensated only by the supply of petroleum products for export. "From the point of view of the conjuncture, based on prices in neighboring countries, such a level of price growth would be reasonable enough and objective," – the deputy general director added.

We remind that last time the price of fuel changed on May 6, 2017. Then the cost of fuel increased by 1 kopeck, and this was the sixth increase since the beginning of the year. Now drivers buy petrol at the following prices: AI-92 – 1 ruble 17 kopecks, AI-95 – 1 ruble 25 kopecks, AI-98 – 1 ruble 36 kopecks and diesel DT-K5 – 1 ruble 29 kopecks.
