Poroshenko's statement that Ukrainians will be able to study the Ukrainian language in Brest and Homel regions reminds Lukashenka's tales.

Journalist Andrzej Poczobut has written that on Facebook.

– Poroshenko's statement that Ukrainians will be able to study the Ukrainian language in Brest and Homel regions should be classified among "Lukashenka's tales". As well as the promise to start broadcasting a Ukrainian TV channel. Lukashenka's system does not provide for the realization of the rights of national minorities.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka believes that everyone should study in Russian. The rest is the whim and enemies’ intrigues.

Well, if Ukrainian diplomats and Ukrainian organizations in Belarus are extremely active regarding this matter, something will be opened somewhere – we are talking about one class. But we will have to fight even for what is guaranteed by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus. So is it worth for the president of Ukraine, having a negative experience with the Ukrainian TV channel, to trumpet on about alleged Lukashenka’s concessions relating the Ukrainian diaspora?
