Hundreds Of Russian Paratroopers Landed Near Brest

The military arrived for the Slavic Brotherhood-2017 exercises in Brest.

The Russian Airborne Forces unit arrived in Brest for the Slavic Brotherhood-2017 exercises of the Armed Forces of Russia, Belarus and Serbia.

"The reinforced subdivision of the 76th Airborne Assault Division arrived from Pskov to Brest by a military echelon to take part in the Slavic Brotherhood-2017 joint tactical exercises of the Armed Forces of Russia, Belarus and Serbia," – the report, received by Interfax, says.

More than 300 paratroopers with standard light weapons, 24 armored vehicles and more than 10 units of automobile equipment were delivered to the railway station of Brest. Russian paratroopers will operate in combat equipment "Ratnik" during the exercises, and crews of combat vehicles – in protective kits "Cowboy".

"After unloading the echelon, Russian paratroopers headed on combat vehicles to the field camp, put in place in Brest region for the period of training," – the report says.

The Slavic Brotherhood-2017 exercises with the participation of the Airborne Forces of Russia, the Special Operations Forces of Belarus and the special forces of Serbia will be held at the Belarusian training ground "Brest" from June 6 to June 14.
