"We decided that we are holding a parade this year. This is a demonstration, we show people that we are not eating the military bread in vain. "

As the head of state stressed, the people must see what the Belarusian army is, what it does, what it consists of in terms of armament. "Also, the people should see the faces of their defenders, soldiers of the Armed Forces," - he added. - "Not only the army, but also the border guards, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations."

According to Lukashenka, it is necessary to demonstrate modern models of civilian equipment manufactured in the country at the parade. "I am concerned that our people (not all, but a significant part) do not know what civil Belarus lives with, what we create even in these hard, difficult times. After all, there is something to show. And this will remains in people's memory for a long time, " - Lukashenka said.
