The activists held an action of solidarity with political prisoners and urged the people to "rise in defense of their rights."

"While there are people in this country, who are deprived of their freedom only for their ideals, for their disagreement with the dominant violence on the part of the state, with numerous restrictions, prohibitions and censorship — each of us, wherever we are, cannot feel free,” — activists of the anarchist movement told Belsat. Dzmitry Paliyenka, Mikhail Zhamchuzhny are in jail now, and 32 people (16 of whom are behind bars) are charged with "mass riots preparation".

According to the anarchists, "tacit permission and consent is a green light for a dictatorial regime based on police lawlessness."

"We urge to stop being submissive shadows bypassing the challenges of our time," the activists said.

The participants of the action called for "solidarity with those persecuted for their convictions."

The action was timed to coincide with the birthday of political prisoner Dzmitry Paliyenka.
