Meeting First Freedom Day Heroes From Akrestsin Street Detention Center

The leaders of the Belarusian National Congress came to meet the activists.

The first detainees who served administrative arrests after the Freedom Day celebration on March 25, which was brutally dispersed by the riot police, started leaving the detention center in the Akrestsin Street in Minsk today.

The activists who came to meet the released detainees, brought a big white-red-white flag, which they didn’t manage to unfold on March 25, to the prison walls.

The flag could be seen from the prison windows, where dozens of the Freedom Day detainees still remain.

This is the flag given to Dzmitry Kavalhin. On March 25, Dzmitry didn’t manage to unfold it, as he was detained and later on convicted to 5 days of arrest.
