The Belarusian Statistics Committee hides the operational figures of the median salary.

Since 2017, the data on the median salary in the country will be published only in a special edition "Work and wages", which is published every two years - this year there will be none.

"Yes, the data on the median salary will not be posted at the website, we canceled this press release. The decision was made by the management. Why? Probably, the demand for such information is low, so it was removed, " - the press-center of Belarusian Statistics Committee explained to journalists.

Now, only certain government services will have access to the operational information.

The median value is considered the most accurate reflection of the situation with wages in the country. The median salary has such a value that 50% of people get more than the named amount, and 50% - less.
