Riot Policemen Beat 75-Year-Old HR Defender Valer Shchukin

There is a suspicion his arm could be fractured.

Valer Shchukin, who was brutally beaten by the policemen in the Zavodzki district police department, has been trasnsported to a hospital by an ambulance, Radio Liberty reports.

Previously, eye-witnesses informed that 75-year-old Shchukin was brutally beaten in the police department, and the policemen scrornfully noted he was absolutely healthy. Valer Shchukin has an insulin-dependent form of diabetes. After the beating in the police department, his arm could be fractured.

Valer Shchukin is one of the most famous human rights defenders in Belarus, a member of the Supreme Council of the 13th convocation. He turned 75 on March 22.
